TYPE MS5 - COST EFFECTIVE "O" RING SEAL

IMPORTANT: Dimensional location of seal ring face (min. and max. dia.) to be determined by pressure requirements of actual application. These will be within the G&H and J&K dimensions.

"O" RING INSTALLATION
Use of an O-ring for sealing the outer case of the seal in the bore may be desirable.

Seal must be retained in housing. The housing diameters may be designed for fits from .005" tight to .005" loose on seal O.D. Minimum radial O-ring interference recommended is .008".

GENERAL APPLICATION INFORMATION

NTI type MS5 seal is designed primarily for reliable service in aircraft, engines and accessories, missiles, gear boxes, transmissions, machine tools, construction equipment, industrial pumps, grinders, and marine applications. Full drive notch engagement in the carbon cross section provides exceptionally long service life.

-30°F to +250°F (Buna "N")

0 - 250 psi (pressure applied to OD of seal ring*) Standard Series
Speed Range-
0 to 10,000 RPM
For pressure applied to seal I.D., balanced series is required
